All,
I have debated on posting my AS experience for a bit...here goes.
We purchased our 2017 23FB Flying Cloud in May of 2017 to live in during the week while working. We opted for that floorplan because of the bathroom and ease of towing with our 2001 Suburban (225,000 Miles). Both of these decisions were good. On the first trip, the shower leaked - badly. First issue really bad caulking job from the factory. We fixed it. My wife is the caulking queen. Next trip was moving to the campground I lived in for a school year - to work. Shower leaked again and the AC quit working. Let me tell you that North Georgia in July is one hot place. So we made a trip to the dealer for repairs - AC was a recall and the shower threshold was installed backward. The dealer fixed both quickly. Yes, my wife recaulked the shower. The next issue was a leaking toilet - we chased that issue for a year before we had the toilet replaced - under warranty. The next issue was a leaking city water inlet - dealer sent me a replacement - and I installed. Of course, I took the old one apart and found an imperfection in the seal that allowed water to pass through even though all faucets were closed. That was an easy job - but still added to my frustration.
For those of you playing at home- THE SCORE, so far, is one bad AC, one bad install of the shower pan, one horribly bad caulking job - I mean come on have a little pride in your work- One cracked toilet, and one bad city water inlet.
Now here is where I really screwed up - One tree limb and three replaced panels, one replaced vent cover, and one replaced front shield. Moral of that story - not all short cuts are worthy, choose wisely.
All that said - we are leaving next week for a wedding and we are camping. I think all systems are working - hopefully, all will go well. Did I mention that I have an airstream for sale, it's in great condition?
