Bathroom door latch 30í Classic

On our Classic, the bathroom door just barely latches. I donít see any movement in the casing (walls) around the door.

Is there any adjustment on the door latch (handle assembly)?

I tried to take it apart but without damaging anything, I could not figure out how to get the handle coverplates off. Handles have Allen screws but could not figure out the circular covers.

Thanks....

Hopefully someone will be along shortly to offer some advice. I’m no help at all.

If you have the handles off the latch, look around the coverplates carefully for a small notch or bent part of the metal. Use a plastic putty knife to gently pry off the notched coverplate to expose the screws.
If there is no notch, pry gently and see which cover plate pops off. Usually itís the inside one.

Rich,

Thanks for the reply. There is a small notch on the bottom of the circular cover plates. Seems to be a small plastic piece in the notch. I tried for 30 minutes, without getting too aggressive, and still could not get them off.

I’ll keep looking.

Thanks.
