30' Classic storage under twin.

I was reviewing several videos of earlier Classic twins and saw something I really liked. It was a large flat storage compartment under the twin bed but above the drawers.

The new 30' Classic twin beds have auto back raising capability. Could that have taken up the space of that storage compartment? Does that compartment still exist in the 2019 model?

Don’t know about 2019 but our 2017 has this extra storage on both beds. We generally store some seldom used clothes in there as well as flip flops. They are a nice plus

Hi

I doubt they dropped it in the 2019's. The space is pretty shallow. Also the plywood that makes up the "bed" bends into the space. There's less room there than you might think ....

Looks like a nice place to put a support to stop that from happening!

Can anyone measure the height of that space? I'm thinking of something I have that would fit in there.

Hi

Support works as long as you like sleeping with a ridge in your mattress. The space really is designed for storing stuff like blankets that don't mind being crushed a bit.

It's about 3 1/2" deep and a perfect place for long, kind of flat stuff like my fold -up telescope observation chair or even a long gun....

The "Plano 10470 Gun Guard SE Single Rifle Case" fits great in that space. You can choose what you want to put inside. :-)

2017 Classic measurements are 3 3/4 deep, 50 1/2 Long , curbside is 16 wide, street side is 16 even.
With all due respect to UB, who’s opinion I do value, at 140 lbs I don’t notice any bowing effect so it may depend on weight.
I use that area for extra towels, a blanket, 8 jeans (because they lay flat) and jewelry. I don’t apologize for glamping.

Classic storage under twin

Wow I had no idea this storage was under the beds. It’s perfect to store the seasonal holiday bedspreads and sheets. Thanks for the info.
