Rates will vary. But you can deduct interest if you itemize.

We got a 4.95% rate from USAA and you can deduct it like a home mortgage, however with the new tax rules, it is likely that the standard deduction will end up being the most beneficial for tax purposes, i.e., there is no tax benefit for interest paid—of course that will vary based on other deductions you may have.

Make sure you finance that Airstream for 20 years.

That way your payment will only be $1,000/month with $10K down!!!

Can you believe people actually do this????

You would need a laughable 8% interest rate to make those numbers fit on a new Classic.

Hopefully no one is getting 20 year 8% loans...

That's what Airstream of Scottsdale was "Pimping" on their trailers they were showing at their display at Barrett Jackson last month.

I took pictures on my phone of their price sheets posted on the trailers for sale given the fact of the 20 year terms they were offering. Can't seem to find the pics on my phone right now however the basics were a $134K MSRP trailer discounted to about a $110K with $10K-$20K down and about $1,000-$1,100/month for 20 years!

Hope you like the trailer!

When we were looking for rates, US Bank was the cheapest.

The new tax structure gives you a $24,000 deduction right out of the gate. Few of us will be able to itemize as our own deductions will be far below this. Last year my deductions were $16,500. I won't come close to the $24,000 this year.

All and all, this should be better for all of us.
