2019 AS Classic 33ft?

Does anyone know if AS is continuing the 33ft Classic for 2019? I haven't been able to get a definite answer yet. I think they actually come out in September with 2019s...
Thx,
Jim

They are continuing them per a recent release emailed out. Also details are found on the Airstream website https://www.airstream.com/travel-trailers/classic/

Your local dealer will have info as well.

Yes, thanks. Saw them on the website. Local dealer wasn't sure. I called AS in JC and they didn't know for sure. Regional AS rep owes me a phone call. Thanks!

Hi

As I mentioned in your other thread on the same topic, the 33' is alive and well. It's up on the web site now.

Yes,

I figured the only option might be the solar one. However, a salesman did tell me it was automatic on the Classic 30&33. Anyway, we're interested but concerned about the Alde issues and projection TV issues (cable and clarity) that I've read about. We'll see
Thx!

Hi

A lot of dealers simply order the bigger trailers with all the options. They seem to feel that it makes them easier to sell. It certainly increases their margins. It's not a lot different than what the car / truck dealers do when ordering inventory for their lots.

Learning about the Alde is very doable. If it is set up right at the dealer then there’s nothing for you to do except set back and enjoy, even if it isn’t set at all it is not difficult to do yourself once you understand how it all works. Once set, it should be fine and no worries at all. I’m approaching 19 months and approximately 6,000 miles and no further adjustments have been needed on my Classic 30.
The projection TV is getting good reviews for watching DVDs but not sure much for watching anything else, like cable or satellite but hopefully that will get worked out in time.

I'm fairly saavy, so I can probably work with the Alde system. If I'm being honest, I'm a bit disappointed to hear about the projection tv cable/sat/antenna issues... We'll see!
Thx for the intel!

We have had no Alde issues with our 33 Classic. We have used the television on the antenna/air setting and the picture is great. Contrary to what others have found we can see it clearly from all angles. Have not tried to use it on the cable setting yet based on what others have said. We knew about the projection issue when we bought it, but for us we really preferred some of the other features so we decided to take our chances. Hopefully Airstream will work it out, but we shall see. Love our 33 Classic’s layout.

Vickitn, thank you for posting that you are able to get over-the-air reception in your lovely 33 footer. I have read that most are happy with the quality while watching DVD’s but haven’t read that much on folks being able to get over-the-Air channels to pick up so thank you.
The bathroom in the 33 is to die for. Soooo tempting to trade mine in but...I still like having the bedroom in the rear...it’s a tough decision. : )

You’re welcome. We spent some of the winter in Fort Myers and had great reception on the local chanels. I feel your pain on changing floor plans. I was afraid I would miss the “sitting area” feel around the front sofa in our 17 Classic. But it is okay. I would say a
little more difficult to entertain inside seating wise, but we do little of that anyway. But you are correct, the bathroom is to die for. I really didn’t like the split bath personally. I felt I was always wrestling with doors. I enjoy the desk area also. Don’t sit at the desk a lot, but I do like the organization it brings and is a great drop zone for phones and tablets and kitchen overflow. There are pros and cons to all floorplans and different lifestyles. So this is just some food for thought.
