Is the switch still in the overhead locker above the dinette? Just curious.

Can you tell me what the storage cabinet just inside the bathroom on the left under the mirror is like? How deep is it? What do you use if for?

Thanks!

That cabinet would be like the equivalent of a medicine cabinet - only longer. We put almost all of our toiletries in there including sun screen, bug spray. Very useful, shelves are adjustable - perfect!

Are the shelves just a few inches deep? What's throwing me off is in the videos, the back of the shelves is a light color and at first I thought these were drawers. But I guess what I'm seeing is the back of the cabinet?

About 4 inches deep. And the shelves are adjustable.

I had myself convinced to buy a 2016 Classic. We went to the local dealer to see the one they had. But it was partially disassembled for some repairs. And the salesman really didn't know the unit and couldn't answer some basic questions.

Maybe you can help me.

The reclining couch. How does it convert for sleeping? Does it? How many will it sleep?

My wife didn't like the flooring. ( I didn't notice it) She felt that it would be difficult to clean due to it's texture. Opinions? Can a different flooring be ordered?

I was ready to buy, but my disappointment with the salesman's knowledge, my wife's objection to the flooring, and the insulting offer for my trade in caused me to walk.

Can anyone help me?

I saw one classic 2015 with a rubber type yacht flooring. It was real nice and was nice to walk on. I wish I knew what product it was so I can replace my Vynil in my 2008. Anyway I think that would be an option to look into.
Enjoy your new one!

The couch does not convert to a bed other than lying across the couch or sleeping in the recliners.

Flooring is easy to clean. I use a Dyson Portable vacuum, DC59 I think. Works great and occasionally mop the floor but that is maybe once per month.

Guessing you went to the Covington dealer. Ask for another rep. I found the guy I worked with, who retired, was very knowledgeable.

We absolutely love the flooring. Google "infinity flooring" and go to the infinity website. Watch the video and you will be amazed. It seems to be the latest and greatest Rv flooring product on the market. We also love our three week old 2016 classic. Airstream has done it right and we have nothing but praise for the product. Is it expensive? Yes. But worth every penny to us for its stellar workmanship, design, aesthetics and amenities.

I failed to mention that the corion dinette powers down to easily form a bed. With the queen rear bed, couch and converted dinette, you can easily sleep 4 adults and even five in a pinch. Pm me if you want more information.

We love the flooring too. I felt the same way your wife did when I first saw it, but absolutely love it and would not want anything else! The classic isn't cheap but in our opinion, worth every penny! Very, very comfortable and plenty of room. We chose the twin with gives even more storage.

Thanks everyone. My challenge now is to sell the one I have for something near what I owe on it. That may not be possible.

We replaced the failing factory flooring in our 2014 Classic last fall with Marmoleum. The material is about ⅛" thick with the color and pattern throughout the material so a ding or gouge does not show. It is bio-degradable (one could eat a piece and not get sick) and easy to maintain.

Currently installing the same Marmoleum flooring material (different color) in a new 2015 23D International where the flooring was already damaged from just foot traffic and the dinette table leg moving during the 2000 mile first trip from the dealership. The thinness and poor quality was very disappointing. Since we having the bed frame and all the dinette cabinets out while doing some major customization, now was the ideal time to install the new flooring.

Here is a link:

Marmoleum floors

We did put down a brass plate under the dinette table leg as a wear point on the floor and will do the same in the 23D.

Google "Infinity Fabrics" instead. The Classic flooring is called "Raffia #2".
