4. Does anyone have a list of options available on the 2016 Classic.

5. Does anyone know what discount from listed price we should expect for the 2016 Classic?

. . . The price for this unit is over $130M and we are trying to understand why it is so much higher than AS listed price of $126M. The unit does have a power awning.
Some answers based upon already having received our 2016 Classic:

1. Solar was still an option on ours. We did order it.

2. 1000w inverter was standard as in 2015.

3. Full window awnings are standard. Power awning was an option that we DID NOT order.

4. Here are the choices we had to make:
- Macadamia or Chestnut ultra leather
- Sandalwood or Night Sky Corian
- Queen or twin beds
- Oven or Drawers
- Power or manual patio awning
- Solar panels or not

Only the last 2 affect cost. The first several were no cost choices.

5. No guess what you should expect, but may do better if ordering than off the lot.

2016 base MSRP is up to about $126k (solar option is about $3k and power awing about $3.6k), but there have been upgrades over the 2015 including:
- Power dinette table
- Overhead cabinet lights
- Rope light under the awning

Still a little disappointed about not being able to get the recliners with the fold down table but I will deal with that at a later date.
I had the same disappointment about the folding table. Seems like there is enough room for one. Looking for alternatives. I would be interested in hearing how you addressed it.

One reason for no folding table is because the dinette table cushions (to make into a bed) are stored at either end of the sofa hence one would not be able to take out and put away the cushions because the table would be in the way. Simple solution of course is to store the cushions elsewhere.

I am going to live with the sofa and see how it works out. Worse case scenario is to remove the sofa and put in the real recliners myself.

I miss the "credenza" and corresponding overhead locker of the "older"/previous generation Classics.
Nelson428 and his parents put a small table where the credenza would have been.

The power awning is a 3,638.00 as an option on lower tier models. This is per Colonial and I don't know if that is negotiable.

Our 2016 classic arrived at Foley RV yesterday. The sales manager, Ron Lester, was kind enough to rush the PDI and we are set for inspection tomorrow and take delivery on Friday. It's been a long, three month plus wait. It will be hard to sleep tonight! We intend to spend the weekend at Davis Bayou in Ocean Springs, Ms. My wife and I will celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary on Saturday. Our new airstream will more than enhance the celebration!

We do have a few remaining questions that have so far evaded our searches through various websites and threads on the Forum. Asking now for info from the best source (the Forum):

1. Solar - have seen a good bit of criticism on the std AS solar; believe it is std on 2016; should we just plan on upgrading after purchase?

2. Inverter - ditto

3. Power awning - we prefer to not have a power awning; understand full awning package std on the 2016 Classic. Is the power awning std as well?

4. Does anyone have a list of options available on the 2016 Classic.

5. Does anyone know what discount from listed price we should expect for the 2016 Classic?

BTW - One reason for all these questions is that a new 2016 Classic has arrived at our local AS dealer, but the "sticker" has not arrived (the dealer told us that for some reason, AS mails the stickers separately). The price for this unit is over $130M and we are trying to understand why it is so much higher than AS listed price of $126M. The unit does have a power awning.
Also about to order the 30 so I hopefully can help:

1. Base price is $126,475. While you will get the manual awning package and the trailer is wired for solar, neither the power awning nor solar panels, solar charger, transfer switch etc. are standard. Solar package is about $2800 and power awning is about $3200. since your unit has a power awning that is what the extra money is for.

2. Aside from the power awning and the solar, the only other option that I am aware of is a bike rack. The price quoted me for all 3 was about $133k

3. AS's solar package is relatively small (about 53 watts per panel) so I am supplying my own panels, inverted (3000 watt) charge controller and battery monitor. I am also going to have my battery box enlarged and use 4 6 volts instead of the two 12 volts that come standard.

4. As far as price I've heard everything from $110k to $126K for the base model.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Our Classic arrived and it is beyond gorgeous. We are enjoying it and the weekend at Davis Bayou National Seashore in Ocean Springs, Ms. I would love to post pictures of the beautifully decorated interior but I'm not sure how to do so. If someone can give me direction for picture posting it would ba appreciated.

Wow it looks fabulous!
We have been mulling over upgrading to a new classic but we will wait till we can see one in real life before we start shopping in ernest. Mind you the exchange for us Canadians is not helping the cause..... (About 30%)

Everything attached to the walls is secured by heavy duty Velcro--no holes and no damage when removed.

Wow Sjcjr! I love the color you added! You are right, it does make it "pop"! We did our 2015 with turquoise decor. We absolutely LOVE our classic - just wish I was retired! Question for you, I LOVE the wine glass holder in the kitchen. Where did you find it and I assume it too is secured only with velcro?

Will the Velcro come off clean after it's been on for a while. Looks like a good idea, but would want to know I'm not hurting anything before we use it on our FC.
Also would it be possible to get a little better image of you wine glass holder and how it was mounted.....
Thanks
Doug

Sjcjr, love the way you have personalized it. It looks awesome. So jealous here. Can't wait for ours to arrive in November! So far the only thing I have purchased for ours is jalapeno lights. I can see I need to get busy after looking at your beauty! Congrats and have fun!

Bed bath and beyond. Industrial strength Velcro holds everything secure. It also comes off easily with no damage. I've used it on previous units with no issues.

The wine glass holder came from bed Bath and beyond and holds very well with industrial strength locking Velcro.
