squeaky floor

I purchased my 2017 27FB Signature in August of 2017. It has the laminate flooring which is great. I noticed that it squeaks when walking around the Queen size bed on the the road side near the bulkhead with the tv. I have insured all jacks are down and secured, and the trailer is level. Curious how the floor is attached to the frame.

I just took my 2016 Classic in for several issues including a squeaky floor around the queen bed. The service man told me they remove the 1/4 round floor molding and put powder under it and reattach. I hope that fixes it. There is additionally a squeak in the hall floor next to the shower. That one required that they drop the pan to reach the floor from underneath to secure it properly to the frame.
I hope yours is an easy fix.

The fix is very simple. Simply spray some silicone dry lube along the upper edge of the vinyl edging between the floor and wall. The squeak is the vinyl rubbing on the aluminum as the floor flexes.

Us too, at least in one place that is... We haven’t even taken our 2018 25FB Serenity out yet and we have a squeak in the hallway between the shower/bathroom doors. Hmmm hopefully this is something with just a few floors?

Thought this was my issue and unfortunately not. It’s the sh*t floors themselves.. and they won’t fix it because it is “normal” for a brand new trailer to do this. And even so they would have to disassemble half the trailer to fix it.

Hugely disappointing, now we are just out of warranty.

Just a bit of follow up on our 2016 Classic floor issue. Apparently, during the manufacturing process, there was a support bracket that was not properly secured. This worked loose resulting in a soft squeaky floor in the hallway proximate to the shower door. Bay Area Airstream stood behind their product and made it right even though it required removing the belly pan and fresh water tank. I am very pleased with the end result.

Just imagine the time and effort that could have been saved if it was done correctly at the factory the first time.
The Quality control at the factory needs a little boost. Hire my wife, the efficiency expert! She have that factory running like a well oiled machine within 6 weeks!

Good information, maybe I can pull the pan and check for a broken support bracket.

Had the same squeak last week on a ‘18 FC 30 in the same spot on the left and right of the queen bed. Found it before delivery. Dealer fixed it. Will be curious to see if it returns. They chalked it up to a over tightening of a bolt(s).

Same story here: 2017 international 27FB, nine months down the road the floor started squeaking in the area of the bathroom/shower hallway and adjacent bedroom. Squeak comes and goes. Haven't talked with the dealer about it yet. Glad I'm not the only one.

With respect to improperly secured brackets: yeah, I've found and fixed a few. Really, really sloppy work--half-inch gaps in some cases! (Not to mention that my water heater wasn't mounted to anything... just sitting loose on the floor. Oh, I could go on...) Shame on Airstream!

We brought our 2018 Serenity Signature 27' trailer last week. I have noticed a really loud squeezing floor on the road side of the queen bed. We have a number of punch list items to discuss with the dealer. This one worries me. I hope that it is something that can be taken care of.
