Wow, a white interior in a Flying Cloud? That would be almost like the International Serenity interior.

Well Colonial has several 2017 FC"s ordered with a "WH/Cashew UL" interior. When I first saw this several weeks ago I doubted the WH stood for white but maybe I'm wrong. They also have a 2017 FC ordered with a "SP/Cashew UL" interior. Anyone like to guess on that one?

Hard to imagine they would be expanding the white interior options, I think it's run its course and even the interior desecrators are playing with color, lots of color. Are we ready for turquoise and pink again?

They struck a chord with the Pendleton interior in an Airstream. People who have seen it love it. Some lodge-like cabinets and furnishings in the aluminum interior with fabrics of Southwestern sunset color and rustic accessories. Themed for travelers to State and Nat'l Parks, mountains and high country, fishermen and hunters, the western ranch. Outdoors not penthouse.

I think people are realising that there are benefits to sleeping in separate beds. Couples get better sleep overall. You can still do the deed etc on one bed and retire to the other.

Not to mention more storage options. Twins is just a much more efficient use of space.

Having seen the Pendleton in person, I did like the aluminum contrast with the "rustic" decor. I thought to myself if it would look played out after some years though...

We like everything about twin beds except the sleeping arrangement, so we have a queen bed at home and in our Airstream.

The juxtaposition of aluminum and the Pendleton materials sounds off the mark, but beautiful in person. You don't really look at the aluminum walls, you look into them the way you look into the sky or a mirror. It relieves the sense of confinement, opens the space in a rather small interior, and softly reflects the bright colors and rich leather of the Pendleton fabrics.

We don't have long to wait -- on this question and the question of the smaller less expensive Airstream -- the dealer's meeting is the week after next, week of May 23rd.

I'm sure this has been asked, but do you really gain that much with a twin?

I think you do. There is a case for the space between the beds, it makes the room look larger, you have a more comfortable changing area, you each gain a little more sleeping area.

That said, I went with a queen.

We are making the move from a 25FB with a queen to the 28 with twins above. We did this mainly for space for the dogs (both the 25 to the 28 and the queen to the twins). The space between the twins beds is very nice but don't forget the two additional exterior storage lockers under the twin beds you gain as well.

As for the twin beds, we never got a chance to lay on them until this weekend, they were very comfortable with a lot of space (minus not being next to the one you love).

We pick our 28 up tomorrow, we'll let you know how it goes after using it.

One additional comment, we felt the queen bed with wardrobes on either side closed in the bedroom into feeling smaller then it was. The twin beds allow for panoramic views all around the bedroom with a lot of light coming in from the bedroom side of the trailer all the way through the bathroom and into the kitchen.

Queen vs. twins is a very personal decision. We simply cannot abide twins, despite perfectly sensible, rational arguments for them.

Doesn't mean we think twins are bad - it just means they aren't for us. If twins can work for you, awesome! Enjoy the space and storage options, but try not to judge us.

Rocinante, I'm with you on this one! Thank you for stating it so eloquently. Even though there are many good reasons for going with the twin option, it's just not for us. We will always choose the Queen bed. Like you said, personal preference.
