Help with Voyager back up cam

Hi everyone! When we picked up our 30 Serenity, I didn't realize that the back up cam wasn't connected...the wire is hanging down in the port side upper locker.

My question is, is there any way to attach this wire inside the trailer without having to take off the port side tail light to get to a 12v feed? Also,if I do need to remove the tail light, what kind of sealant is best for buttoning that up again? The sealant is gray in color.

Many thanks for your expertise!

Michael

What leads you to believe the wires are for the camera?

The wires are coming down in that area and I know the cam isn't working as I've tried to pair it with the monitor section in the truck, so it's supposition on my part.

I am going to open the clearance lights this morning and see if there's a connection with the cam as I was reading some other posts on this and that seems to be a common connection method. If there aren't, I'm going to see if I can connect straight from the camera lead where it's mounted to the clearance light.

Guess I should have read the "Voyager" posts first!

First, use a voltage meter to see if there is any power in those two wires. If there is none, try hooking them up to a 12v battery. If the Voyager works when you hook up the wires, then start looking for a wire carrying 12 volts going to a reading lamp or something nearby. Hook up to that.

BTW, I have a Voyager. It is a great camera.

One querk with the Voyager camera is that the TV lights or running lights must be on for the screen to come on.
