Finally, our AS arrived!

After 6 months of waiting and custom ordering all the options, tier, and features we wanted...she arrived on Saturday.

They had crazy snow, so she arrived a complete mess from the salt and brine.....got her washed off and spent the weekend cleaning and getting things setup and ready.

Our first trip is mid May, but overall the wife and I are super happy.

We've encountered a few minor things we'll post about later, this post is all about being happy about joining the AS family officially!

Greetz to all.

Chris

Congratulations on the new shiny. Six months is a long time to wait. You have grit. Now, shake it, shake it, shake it. The fun is ahead. Pat

Congratulations on your new Airstream. We are just as excited about our next trip in our third season as we were on our first. You will enjoy your new Airstream.

She's looking good. May you travel down many roads filled with adventure and wonder. We are preparing for our 3 week long trip out to the Grand Canyon, and then on to Maine, all from Florida. San D, Kurt and Bailey

Greetings

What we cannot see in the pics of your beautiful, unnamed ?? Trailer are all the great memories that will accumulate quickly in that baby! I am writing this note from Top of Georgia AS Park, where some wonderful folks are working together to clean the park, preparing for our first rally of the year! Take this baby anywhere your TV can handle the terrain! Join an AS club and be prepared to struggle to focus on anything but your next adventure when you return from each trip! Many folks are always interested in which tow vehicle you have selected to safely tow you and this beauty around the country?

We are in cumberland and we are setup to give George Washington state park mid May to start.

Do you happen to own an excella 1000 with dark pickup TV?

We have actually named her long before we got her: IPPY.

By design she is our Inner Peace....and we created the name around that....

We had the TV long before the trailer which has factory tow package....a 2016 Yukon XL. We went with a Trekker hitch with 1000 lb bars.

We are super excited and can't wait to get it out on the road!

Congratulations - Maintenance for Salt & Corrosion!

SALT AND BRINE- Horrible things,

I would immediately get those aluminum rims off and treat the back of them with a rust spray preventative. Corrosion X or similiar. Also clean up and spray rust preventative on the cast iron brake drums and look over that frame.

Get WD -40 or a similar down the aluminum awning tubes and into all seams you can get to. That brine will be working its way into the hinges cracks and corroding the aluminum light trim.

Ours has to go back to the factory for trim replacement it was flat towed town in December. Dealer tried a valiant effort to de brine the undercarriage but exterior trim parts were already corroded through the clear coat.

Get some wax on the door handle like tomorrow. An ounce of prevention is worth hours of future cures. Very nice trailer!

Were outside tonight at WP Franklin Corp of Engineers Park in Ft Meyers Florida. 79 Degrees 8:50 this evening nice Breeze was a beautiful sunset.

No, we have a FC20. I've never been to George Washington, did a quick internet search and it looks very nice. We got our trailer last year and took our first "shakedown" trip to Fisherman's Memorial. George Washington looks like a much better early season trip though. Not much to do at Fisherman's Memorial in early May.

I should have looked at your profile before asking, apologies.

When we went to the factory to see ours built, we didn't see but maybe 2 AS on the road or parked. It was like....where are all the AS??? We had finally got to see one on the road.....heading back home....somewhere in NY I think at a restaurant we stopped at (cracker barrel). It was an Excella 1000 being pulled with a dark pickup truck..........from RHODE ISLAND!

We both laughed and shook our heads...so when I saw you were from RI, figured I'd ask if it may have been you.
