Welcome to the club. While we had kind of a delayed positive reaction to the décor, it was the assembly of components that made it the right choice for us - hatch, stabilizers, 16" LTX, galley arrangement, etc. Not sure of the value of the "limited Edition" status but wasn't really a factor in our decision other than moving quickly to tie one up. We will look for "Agent 99" when on the road. Congratulations on your purchase.

If there is a choice, I'd recommend the full range, with the slideout microwave.

The propane oven works with no electricity. Both the "normal" microwave and convection/microwave draw too much power for the 1,000 watt inverter installed by Airstream.

In the 27FB floor plan pantry as well as the Eddie Bauer models, the slide out microwave takes up about one third of the pantry storage. There are two pantry designs - one with the microwave and one without the microwave.

I watched that pantry installation when I was in the factory. To retrofit or remove the microwave shelf requires removal of the entire cabinetry from the pantry to the main door as that cabinetry goes in sequently before the other pieces. Also the micro wave power outlet in the pantry cabinet could be a challenge to retrofit but it could be done.

Terry, there is a choice and ours is the convection mw. The pendleton has only 4 factory options: solar (all are solar ready but we don't like factory panels. there are better options out there) backup camera (check) convection mw (check) and power awning (check).

We have had a convection mw in our house at home and our 2 of our past airstreams and would be lost without it. When we had both the convection mw and the regular oven in our trailer we never used the oven so we won't miss it. What we do gain is the space in the pantry that we really needed. So it is a great factory option for those of us who only cook with convection. We will carry the portable generator to charge the batteries once a day (instead of solar panels) and run the convection mw for 30 minutes (doesn't heat up the trailer). That's our choice in camping and were glad Airstream offers those choices!

Delivery Day of #006

Well, almost. A couple of things caught in PDI that need warranty repair so didn't actually drive off but did have it hooked up to check the hitch and all wiring. And, no, we aren't also planning on towing the forklift at the back.

More pics and details to come if there is interest. Absolutely no reservations about our decision. It is beautiful.

Look's great! Although that beastly truck dwarfs the Pendleton. Hopefully you didn't get a dually just for it.

Thanks. No, the dually is for our truck camper when we tow our jeep for off roading excursions. In reality, the long wheelbase, crew cab configuration is awkwardly long and, as you imply, overkill for this AS, but it is what we already have so it will have to do.

Ah, cool. I've always been intrigued by truck campers. I guess what has prevented me from looking into them further is that they kill any off-road capability of the truck and you have to tow a toad like you have.

We have the Pendleton in the Toronto RV Show this weekend. The more I am around it, the more I like it. It has been a huge hit at the Show.

Maybe Airstream will decide to build another 100 units.

I would imagine given the exchange rate of 30% it must be quite the $$$$$.

Well, we hope the PDI identified repairs are completed this week and we will be able to take #006 (having never been given a name by Ian Fleming) home over the weekend. A that point I will take and post photos. Any particular areas you want covered?
