And just that easily it slipped into place? No mismeasurements?

It's funny, it is not strange looking at all. It looks correct- like it should have been that height from the factory. I'm really glad I did it.

When you first posted the computer-modeled photo I thought the new proportions would look better than the original.
It still seems slightly monstrous to a Bubble owner, perhaps sentient, like it sits there in permanent idle & would growl if I walked past.

The final headroom from the deck to the inside skin is 91.5"
Feels super roomy..
Tomorrow is installing the stubs to bolt to the ribs..

Okay seriously? You're taking the motto " To boldly go where no man has gone before" a little seriously!!!! Wanna adopt me? I can't wait to see how this turns out but I am in awe....with just a little bit of envy.

Of course, one way to transgress is to misspell the damn word.

I will assume that that last post was not meant to include me, even if my remarks were recent, since I have no desire to be adopted or sprinkle you with emoticons.
Despite my obvious admiration of this whole project, being at the opposite end of the Airstream spectrum, I am still weighing any drawbacks of what you're doing. (Of course, they are, on the rational side, few given the craftsmanship and on the emotional, resale-be-damned, side ... irrelevant, except that I'm asking.)
One thing I've wondered is how many places you will be able to camp the Falcon. Do you foresee any limits in terms of roadbed, turning radiii, weight or ... height?
I recall that you plan to live in her for a couple of years right where she lies. After that?

Yes Mam, now that we have that sorted out. There will be limitations and she will not fit where a 26' would go but that is the trade off for a purpose built unit. Correct she will be home for a few years and also for a few trips. As far as maneuverability I think it will be comparable to a new 34'

As far as resale goes, you would be amazed at what some people are willing to pay for a custom. Iv already had an offer to build a second falcon. I would not do it until I had this one finished and tested out of course... But it is interesting..

I can see the 11' high Aluminum Falcons storming into campgrounds and chasing out all the short Airstreams (5th wheels may be a problem), ravaging the countryside and creating havoc. I'd better take my meds now.

Weld in stub
Put out burning Por!
Clean
Coat with Por

Actually, I think it could be more like Aliens than Jaws. Like aliens popping out of other aliens, you could actually fit my entire trailer inside yours (ok, maybe only without the wheels, but still). Seriously, my interior height is 6'4". Add 1" of flooring, 5" of frame, and 2" for the top shell, and my bellypan-to-roof-vent height is still less than your 7'+ headroom. Combine that with my narrow 1950's width, and you've got the Russian nesting dolls of Airstream world. \
Plus, if I put my trailer inside yours, it would be magically finished in ~2 weeks.

It's an interesting process to level the shell. It was built on a factory frame that was not flat level. My frame is super flat and there are a lot of little adjustments to get the shell flat and get the lines of the skins smooth... But it's getting there..

I think you might want to rename it.... "Dark Vader" or "Death Star". However, very cool. Amazing work you have done.
Would love to see it in person. I'm right down the road from you off I-75 in Tampa. Just started work on my now second Airstream, a 77 Sovereign. When I am done, it will be mildly normal and can be eaten by your trailer.

I would just assimilate your trailer as my slide out
