Region 2 VAC "News and Views" website!
Just wanted to let everyone know the new "Region 2 VAC News and Views" site is now up and running. Hope you all get a chance to stop by and take a look. Wanted to create a site to help promote the VAC in Region 2 and how it's members use their "Vintage Airstreams". Would love some feedback good or bad. I plan to be adding things over the next month and as time goes on. If you have a story, pics or anything using your Vintage Airstream, let me know. Could be a bunch of fun!!

Congrats on your new position and nice job on the website!
Just an fyi...that photo that you labeled on the website as a Bambi II is actually a Caravel model.
I only know that because we have a Bambi II and I am more than very familar with the model. The door hinges on the Bambi II are on the right side of the door, not the left side as is shown in your photo. The photo is of a 17' trailer so it is most likely a Caravel -- the year would be a 1961 or a 1965 or greater. Airstream didn't make Caravel trailers in 1962 - 1964.

Hey Paul,
Congratulations and a good start on what will surely be a great site. There can NEVER be too many airstream web sites!
Yea, looks like a Caravel, probably '65 or later. Doesn't look like any '61 I've seen* judging by the location of the kitchen window.
See Ya Soon,
*...but whadda I know?

Very nice Paul! I think each region could benefit from the same efforts as this.

Each region needs to have information available, but wouldn't it be better to have it connected to the VAC site rather than independent? After all, it is one club and not several.

It's coming
This is the first stab and much of the info about the VAC (list of officers, how to sign up, links, etc...) will be added, just didn't have the time during lunch to add that info. As Shari said, "I working on getting the VAC website up to speed and would love to have links to all the Region like Region 2's..." So it will come over time.
I hope to get a chance to work on it when I'm sitting in a hotel room next week in CA.

My 2 cents... someone in region 2 is getting it organized for the vintage folks, getting our region together. If that takes off then the other regions can follow suit. By organizing in region 2 no one is dilluting the club down, if anything, it may make the VAC and the WBCCI stronger in the region. The rally in Staunton Va also sounds like a great idea to me. BoZeman is just too far for us working folk to attend without breaking the vacation bank and the gas account. Glad to hear there might be an alternative for us that cannot make it all the way out west this summer. Paul you have my support 110%. I think you are brilliant and am very glad you are putting this all together.
