Hello is anyone here? Wisconsin?

I just joined the club and thought I would stop in and see if anything is going on here in the forums. I live in Wisconsin and would be very interested in getting antiquated with other vintage owners in my area.
Fair warning... I own a vintage camper repair/restoration shop but not here to drum up business. I just want to meet more people with the passion I have for vintage Airstreams.

We're here! You are welcome to come to any of MN Unit Rallies! They're posted on MN Unit website, and many of us have vintage units (including us). We get together with Wisconsin sometimes for rallies.
Hope to see you sometime!

Kay
(I'm the MN Unit Pres this year...)

Thanks Kay!
It seems like such a great opportunity for vintage owners to get together and share this great hobby. I will look into it. My travel plans are pretty limited this summer do to work but I really want to ramp up the vintage camper outings this fall. I see a big opportunity for vintage networking and interaction here. I live about 1 3/4 hours southeast of La Crosse.

Hi Sprouty: Greeting from Colorado. I just joined the WBCCI and my Region 11 Vintage Airstream Club. Then I signed up for my first rally this summer. The club here in the Rockies is quite active I understand. I've already met two vintage club members who plan on attending the same rally.

Gee Kay, congratulations taking on the leadership of your region club.

Hopefully some Wisconsinites will log in and say hello to you.

David

Hello from the Madison Area

We pick up our new to us 1985 25' Sovereign in a couple of weeks. By the time we get it it will have had the major mechanical and systems work it needs but the interior will still be lacking some key features (beds, tables, any place to sit).
We hope to get it at least semi functional for some camping this summer, though we won't range very far. We will be traveling with our 4 and 6 year old.
My husband is a pretty solid woodworker, so the first project will be building a dinette. We removed the old goucho sofa and think we will find a dinette more practical.

Check out the Events page on the Vintage Airstream Club website.

VAC Midwest is having a rally in he NW corner of Missouri May 17-20. A big event in Colorado is the Rocky Mountain VAC Rally Aug 2-6 in Ridgway, CO, and the VAC Midwest Fall Rally is in Beatrice Nebraska Sept 20-23.

The 2 Midwest VAC rallies are reasonably close to you and they are a nice group to camp with. A nice place to go camp is the Minnesota Airstream Park in Clear Lake MN.

Wisconsin Club is active

And has a fair number of vintage owners. For info on events, go to http://wisc.wbcci.net/
It is a fun group, and lots going on. Sound like you would be down in the Prairie Du Chien--- Sauk City area. We have rallies all over the state, differing depending on the organizers.
Welcome and please join one of the events we have going on, it is a great group.

Also streamin in Wisconsin

We live across the state from you in Kenosha. We bought our 1984 Sovereign 25' last year so we are new to 'Streamin'. Getting ready to replace the rotted floor in the rear of our trailer, should keep me busy and out of trouble for a while.Looking forward to a great camping season this year.

Looks like your in the advanced stages of the aluminum affliction. There is no known cure, only group therapy. Welcome to the ward.

We're also having a "Tech Rally" in July at the MN Airstream Park in Clear Lake, MN. Variety of subjects are still in the development process. (In other words, we're still thinking them up)
Wisconsin Unit is very fun! The bottom picture on the back page of the Blue Beret this month, was taken by one of our members at the Joint WI/MN rally last September. We had a blast!

Hi There! We live about 3.5 - 4 hours North of you in New Richmond, WI, about 30 miles east of St. Paul, MN. We're in the 3rd year of making a 1968 31 Sovereign road worthy, and are hoping this is the year for that maiden voyage. Might even head your way for that initial exploratory trip!
