As a new member I am still learning about our club. I noticed on the WBCCI web site the links to two intra clubs, Classic and Vintage. I am already a member of the Vintage club but what is the difference between the two?

The Classic club excepts the classic body trailers. (rounded) I don't think age enters into it. I am not sure of their stance on either Argosies or classic body motorhomes. That would probably eliminate square streams and fifth wheels but I am not a member so some one else may correct this

Rick, thank you. From looking at their sites I could not tell the difference by reading the copy. So "Classic" is a specific body type or style? I sort of thought all/most travel trailer Airstreams were rounded. Could you be a little bit more specific on what models might qualify for membership. I am still very new to Airstreams and seem to learn something new about them everyday. They have such a long history and so many models over the years.

With a '64 Airstream Bambi II you would qualify for membership in either or both groups.

As I understand it, CAC is intended for those interested in the classic shaped (non-wide-body, non-painted, non-fiberglass) "silver" trailers/MoHos of any age whereas the VAC is intended for any model of Airstream that is 25 years or older - painted or not.

If your interest is more oriented towards the "care & feeding of vintage rigs" you would find the VAC more suitable. If you are more into the iconic "classic" imagery of Airstreams and not as much of the nostalgia or restoration, then the CAC may better suit your style. Some people are members of both...

Shari, My interest definetly lean toward the care and feeding of my 48 year old Airstream. Just keep an old trailer safely on the road with all systems working as well as possible is the current goal. I am already a member of the Vintage group, so I think I will stay just with them for the time being.
