Wanted Good condition Excella or Classic 25

Title:
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Looking in California or nearby states for Excella 25' or the later Classic 25'

Prefer galley with cooktop and oven, plus sink located under the window.

Couch with foldout table.

Year ? .. late 90's early 2000's I guess.
Prefer with queen bed, but twins are possibly ok as well

Thanks!
You can contact us by filling in the form on the right hand column of the ad listing:

I know of a really nice 1981 32' Silver Streak for sale in the Indianapolis area. It used to be on CL, last I checked the ad was no longer there, but from phone texts I've swapped with the owner as recently as maybe 2 weeks ago, the trailer is still available. Was listed for $10K.

If you look in the Vintage Kin section, you'll find a thread I started, hoping that someone here would get that trailer and take good care of it. ( I'll search out that thread and post a link here )

If you are interested in a SilverStreak (SS) you would love a Streamline (SL). the SL end caps were made by SS. The SL has all metal interior faux wood or zolatone (sp) coated aluminum. The cabinets were all aluminum except for the doors. Much lighter. My 1970 23' SL had an honest (scale) GW of 3,600# and a tongue weight of 600#. I kept it 21 years and got my original purchase price back when I sold it. My SS by contrast had faux covered plywood walls and wood cabinets. The aluminum walls in the SL and now our Airstream (A/S). have contributed to the over all longevity and durability. Like Avions, SSs are prone to outside skin cracking at the upper right corner of the entry door. Not enough reinforcement around the door frame that interior aluminum skinned trailers have. If you look around there are some still out there. On the other hand if you must have a SS, you will like it too. However, I now like my A/S the best. Especially, now that lewster has installed his hybrid solar/Magnum/lithium system. Yes, I'm bragging on the A/S as well as lewster's design and work. He is an RV electrical artist.

I have noticed a nice old SS parked at the north edge of Hill City Kansas for several years.. Have no idea who owns it or other than calling the country tax man to find out.. My guess $1000 would buy it.. Times are real hard in NW Kansas right now.
