Well I have an ad on uship.com trying to get a quote on shipping the unit to me.
Two days have pasted and I haven't had a single offer from anyone on shipping the unit.
Does anyone have any other ideas for shipping?

If all else fails I'll plan to go and get it myself. This is the last option as this would soak up a lot of my time to make the run there and back but it is an option. Road trip!

If shipping arrangements can be made then yes.
I wouldn't have thought that to be an issue but seems it might be the deal breaker.

Well then.... here's one to look at: 1970 avion/fifth wheel hitch/5x8 utility trailer/13 Klamath boat

Good luck! It'll happen when the right one comes along.

I didn't see a truck camper in that link. Was that the correct link?

Wow. I must have been tired last night. Yes, wrong link.

Here's the correct one:

Avion 1973 slide on camper

Sorry about that!

No problem, I actually did contact the owner of the unit you give me the link to and they didn't seem to keen to give much info about it. So I moved on from it.

It is a nice unit. I had the owner take a few pictures for me of some areas of concern. Ive attached two pictures in which I have the greatest concern about.
Ive heard they do damage over time in the front were the cab over sections begins at the base of the camper.

Maybe someone can chime it and let me know if this will be a difficult repair and something I should consider passing on?
I was thinking maybe I could have some section of aluminum shaped and cut out to patch over this area? Install some solid rivets?

Other than that it will need a new fridge as I which to run off the battery and propane and this one is AC only. And it will need a new holding tank under the bathroom.

You know what? Since the source of these campers is still available, I think that the absolute best advice and guidance would come from Cayo Repair Services, 4835 M-140, Watervliet, MI 49098 at 269-463-5068. They have always been more than helpful with questions I've had about my Avion.

The shipping of these has proved to be difficult. It seems that the only one offer I had was for $2800 dollars which I feel is a bit high.

Im going to give the ad one more run to see if I can get a more reasonable quote and if it don't work out soon I may have to pass.
