Hello there,
This is an original axle with electric brakes from a
1950 Silver Streak Clipper 18ft. It is a rare camper and maybe a rare axle I don't know. I replaced it when I rebuilt my camper frame. I CAN PART IT OUT, if you need one part specifically. I can ship separate parts or the whole thing. It has all the parts on it , other is missing. So It has 4 bearings, 2 brake shoe sets, 2 electromagnets, 2 drums... etc. I did not test the electric brakes so the condition is unknown.
Dimensions:
-Spring center to spring center- ~49.5" (can be moved)
-Hub face to hub face distance- 69.5"
-Bolt Pattern- 6 on 5.5" spread
-Drum inside diameter- 12" (almost exactly but with tape measure) They look like they have been surfaced at least once before.
-Brake shoes are 2" wide and have 3/16" material at the thinest point
-Electromagnet pad 2 3/4" diameter, ~1/8" left
-Leaf springs:
9 leaves,
1 3/4" wide,
shackle to shackle center ~28",
1/2" U-bolts (trashed from rocks),
axle tube is 1 3/4" square.
-Spindle: Small bearing race ride sleeve is 0.9355", large sleeve is 1.5015"
-Bearings: Small bearing: Bowler USA 1779 (no pitting, chips, or heat discoloration) Large bearing: I didn't pop out because of the seal, but I can if you would like.
