2018 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour Ext 24 - Idaho

Title: 2018 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour Ext 24 - Kentucky
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

4X4 and Automatic Levelers
I am not going to list all the features that are standard on the Interstate as they can viewed online and you probably already know what they entail. Obviously I'd be willing to discuss anything with you anytime.

This unit is set up for boondocking and removes most of the problems inherent with any motorhome if you want to be unplugged.

Our unit is 4X4 and includes automatic levelers. I would never own one without them. We camped primarily in Natl Forest Service CG's. The unit does not have the air-ride suspension as there was just the 2 of us and I taped up the seat belts to get them out of the way. We had Airstream Factory in Ohio service remove the 2-12 volt Lifeline batteries and install 4-6 volt Lifeline batteries giving us 400 amp hours instead of 200. The 6 volt battery is also better for discharge and last longer. We also had an additional 100 watt solar panel added by the factory for a total of 400 watts total.

During the summer on a trip in Washington, we had Solar Tech Energy Systems, Lew Farber, change out the MPPT Controller and replace the factory controller with the Victron 100/30 Solar Controller. It is Bluetooth enable and can be manage by the phone App.

We also had Solar Tech add an inside LP on/off switch which really is convenient. They also added a Wi-Fi Boost enhancer and on/off switch. This really helped in remote area and in the National Parks. Nice but not perfect.

Lastly we had the unit into Airstream for it's warranty repairs. This was done in October and the unit is now waxed and inside in warm storage.

We live in Ohio but the unit is in Lexington, KY and can be seen there.

Reason for selling is we'd like to go into a B+ unit. Little more space for grandkids etc.

One final comment. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have never bought new. Ironing out all the ways we wanted to use the unit and all the little issues and runs back and forth to the factory are now all handle.

There are 11,966 miles

Sorry about the rotation of the pictures. I tried everything I knew how to do to get them to go in correctly.
