This 2015 Airstream 23FB Flying Cloud is in excellent condition. It was special-ordered and purchased new by us from Outdoor Mart in Colfax, NC. We’ve enjoyed it so much we plan to get another Airstream!
We’ve used it for dozens of trips …some as long as 7 months. Everything works perfectly.

Special Upgrade:
The trailer was originally equipped with Airstream’s “Ultra-leather” convertible dinette. We didn’t need the extra bed and found that seating to be very uncomfortable.
So, we removed (and sold) the dinette and installed the custom 2 chair lounge as shown. The seats are very comfortable and adjustable. They’re actually nearly new seats from a 2016 Chevy Silverado Pickup. They are mounted on a custom-built platform that incorporates swiveling and height-adjustable dining tables. The platform also adds lots of useful storage.
This set-up was a big improvement in comfort and function for us. Obviously, it would not work if you needed to accommodate more than 2 people for sleeping or eating.
Easy Towing
The 23FB is the smallest Airstream made with dual axles. That’s a huge plus for comfortable towing and adds considerable tire safety margin to the equation. The 4 tires on the trailer have a combined capacity of nearly 8,000 pounds. The trailer’s light weight (6,000 pounds fully loaded) makes it a dream to tow. We’ve towed it with a Silverado
1500 (rated for 9,800 pounds max towing capacity) and you hardly know you’re towing a trailer most of the time.
The 2015 23FB was also the last year for the modern “narrow body” 23FB. Later models went to full-ducted AC which added 8” to overall width. The narrow version like this is noticeably easier to tow and maneuver.
Hitch:
Also Included: Draw-Tite Trunnion Style Weight Distribution Hitch / Drawbar with Sway Control. This hitch setup works well with this trailer and should be adjustable to fit any suitable tow vehicle with 2” receiver. Cost new was $768.00
Imperfections
These are inconsequential and barely noticeable, but in the interest of full disclosure:
Small repair to wheel well trim near main door.
Several small dents on roof line (above front window) from falling small limbs.
Several small “dings” in rock guards (that’s why they are there!)
Location:
We keep the trailer in a secure storage facility near our home in Pinehurst, NC. The trailer batteries have always been “maintained” via a solar-powered battery maintainer that I built (not included), so the batteries have never been abused or run “flat.”
Maintenance records / Log will be provided. The trailer has always been properly winterized during the “off season.”
