This 25FT 2006 Airstream Safari SE (Special Edition) LS (Luxury Sport) FB (Front Bedroom) is the top-of-the-line fully-loaded 75th Anniversary Addition to include both the LS and the SE packages as shown.
To my knowledge, this is what the Special Edition (SE) upgrade package includes; Interior Aluminum Skin, International /Classis Style Windows (full-opening awning windows), Brushed Aluminum Blinds and Décor (halogen) Lighting (see pictured Airstream Sales Order).
Airstream also verified that the 2006 LS option included the flowing; a Spare Tire, Fantastic Fan, No-Fuss Flush Black Tank Rinsing System, Aquajet Water Pump, Cast Aluminum Taillights, Electric Hitch Jack, 13,500 BTU Air Conditioner with Heat Pump, ‘LS’ Exterior Graphics, Screen Door Guard, ‘One Touch’ Galley Faucet with Separate Sprayer, Jackets (2) and Caps (2) (see pictured Sales Order).
The Airstream Safari Special Badging denotes the 75th Anniversary while the wrap-around windows and the sky-lights let in a lot of additional light and provide a fabulous panoramic view, especially with the FB option to enable you to back-up to witness wildlife first hand. We have been inside watching up-close black-bears, flocks of wild turkeys and bob-cats that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
We have been using this as a vacation rental for the last 3 years, during which time it paid for itself twice and it’s still in immaculate condition and clean as a whistle. We also installed some more luxurious extras such as towel rails, soap, shampoo & shower-gel dispense, new on/off switch shower head (temporarily halts the water flow for washing hair without filling the holding tank) with 3 different water-flow settings, we replaced the kitchen faucet, which now has a separate sprayer and a dish soap pump, we cut 10 keys for each lock (took Airstream 3 months!) so we would never have to cut them again and a 50ft drinking water hose.
We replaced the original ceiling fans for state of the art remote/manual Maxxair fans with inbuilt thermostat and automated air intake and exhaust functions. “The first ever all-in-one RV vent fan that automatically provides rain free ventilation.”
The comfortable queen size bed was apparently “the most comfortable bed I ever slept in” although I did add a 3” memory foam – just an idea!
There are two monitors with DVD players so be sure to take them with you on your next trip and keep them in the Airstream – no one ever watches them at home any more!
