2005 Airstream Safari 25 - Florida

Title: 2005 Airstream Safari 25 - Florida
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

We are selling our great condition two (2) owner 2005 Airstream Safari 25. This has the double bed in the back with additional beds in the fold-down dinette and sofa in the front. This will easily sleep four (4) full sized adults. We purchased it from a seasoned Airstream owner who had taken it on no more than ten (10) trips in the State of Florida. We have taken it out on about as many trips, never going more than 90 miles from Tampa.

We wanted to make sure everything was safe and working right so we have done a lot with the trailer, including the following:

1. Installed five (5) new Goodyear tires
2. Had the air-conditioning unit overhauled and ready for the Florida heat;
3. The shower valve was giving us issues so it was taken in and the valve was replaced;
4. It has two (2) brand new deep cycle batteries purchased in January 2015;
5. Bearings and brakes serviced;
6. Replaced exterior turn lights which had water in them- common problem; and
7. Replaced most of the interior and the floodlight bulbs with LED bulbs.

All of the work was done by Bates RV n/k/a RVOne Superstore in Tampa, an authorized Airstream dealer.

This unit has a number of the LS upgrades including the following:
1. Spare tire;
2. Fantastic Fan; and
3. Electric winch jack.

We have installed a small TV in the bedroom area and will include the TV and a mobile satellite dish. The trailer has a load leveling system with the matching hitch/ball. The hitch is included with the unit. The tongue has the battery box and two (2) 30# Propane tanks in the stainless steel compartment. The awning looks great and deploys perfectly. We have cleaned the interior and exterior before and after every trip. Although not shown in the pictures, we have the original Airstream bedding but it is stored as we do not use it. It will of course be included.

The GVWR is 6,300 pounds. I think it goes down the road fully loaded around 5,300 pounds. It tows well behind a Nissan Armada and a strong six (6) cylinder SUV or truck will have no issues towing it.

The exterior is in good shape the skin looks great. As expected, it has light road wear. In addition, the first owner managed to put a small (non-structural) dent in the top at the rear when he backed into something up high. This has not impacted the integrity of the shell and you can hardly notice it. We have never had a problem with the trailer and but for the known AC and shower issues everything has worked every time we have taken it out.

This unit is very lightly used as we tend to cook outdoors and use shower houses when available. We have only used the cooktop and stove a few times and I can say that the microwave works great. The twenty-five foot (25’) Safari is big enough for my wife and our two kids. It is a great sized unit and it will give its third owner years of great fun and adventure.

We are asking $32,000 for the trailer which makes it very competitively priced. We are willing to entertain reasonable offers. We are selling it to purchase an Airstream Interstate EXT and we know that it has a fantastic trade in value. The trailer is located in Tampa Florida and the buyer will need to make arrangements to pick it up or have it delivered. Buyer would be responsible for all costs associated with the purchase and sale including, taxes, title, license fees et cet.

The trailer has a current Florida registration and tag. It also has our WBCCI numbers on the front and back and I think we will need to remove them prior to sale.

Call me if you have any questions or would like to see it. We will need advance notice of a visit so we can bring it to the house and hook water and power up for a test. Weekends would be the best time to see it. We have posted 8 of the pictures we have an I do not seem to have the ability to add images to the ad. We have an additional 34 pictures we just took and can take more if you desire any particular shots. You should see the unit in person to appreciate it.
You can contact us by filling in the form on the right hand column of the ad listing:
