Hi Don,
I wanted to share some of my concerns on the purchase of your family's truck.
It is a beautiful truck and I would really like to have it in my barn.

Unfortunately diesel trucks do not tolerate inactivity very well.
You have to be vigilant regarding the fuel system.
The bacterial problems with the fuel normally do not show up
right away but the inactivity allows potential contamination in
the tank, the lines, the pump and the injectors.
If the tires have not been changed 11 year tires are not safe
at any speed not because of the tread surface but, because of the
degradation of the sidewalls caused by the UV rays of the sun.
Also, the 11 year old belts, hoses and batteries deserve to be
replaced.
Probably just like you I want my vehicle in safe and reliable condition.
I am sure that I haven't told you anything that you didn't already
know but, I don't want you to think that I was trying to offer less
than I should for your truck.
