Title: 2003 Airstream Classic 30 - Connecticut
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
We are the second owner of this gem of an Airstream. We lived in it full-time and traveled the country until recently. It is set for boondocking or an RV park with fun hook-ups.
The good:
The classic features solid wood cabinets, Corian counters, carpets (we just had cleaned). We upgraded to AGM batteries
added 4 solar panels
Replaced the hitch April 2016 with a top-of-the-line Reese hitch.
This trailer is really ready to go.
The bad (not really that bad):
before purchased her, the previous owner had a blow-out. Their is minor visual damage and the black tank lever is a little wonky. It hasn't bothered us one bit.
She should have her wheel bearings re-packed before a long trip, but that's typical maintenance.
The ugly:
We adopted a dog on our adventure and while at Graceland she went a little nuts. There is a small hole in the upholstery of the front lounge, and some of the clips were broken on the curtains.
I left the Awning fully extended and while at a hair appointment it bent in half. It will cost about $1000 to repair by replacing the entire tube, or it will be $250ish to weld in a support.
Other things to note:
We removed the rear queen to make more room for living space. We slept on the front lounge and the dinette. Our toddler had a toddler bed in the back.
