1993 Airstream Excella 25 - Texas

Title: 1993 Airstream Excella 25 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

This is a rare opportunity to get a travel-ready, travel-proven Airstream travel trailer!

25ft is the optimal length if you still want to have all amenities like bathroom with shower, two sleeping areas, full-size oven etc - but want to tow it easily and fit into every National Park. And a good investment since it is the most sought-after Airstream length!

We optimized our trailer to be independent without hook-ups: 300W solar panels with 2x75Ah deep cycle batteries give you enough power rain or shine. For that the air-conditioning had to go, but it can be easily put back by removing one solar panel (wiring and internal mounting still available). Think about conventional air-con, or a swamp cooler which is possible with this battery. The microwave was replaced with a wine-and-oil bottle holder, but is still available upon request. LED-lighting throughout except the bathroom.

Most important for camping in the outdoors: the old carpet had to go! The trailer features now beautiful real hardwood floor, Austrian maple by Kahrs. The subfloor was in excellent shape.

We maximized the sleeping space: the space between the twin beds in the back is filled with a custom-made extension, resulting in a plus-king bed. The front sofa has an extension which expands to almost a king-size bed. Both extensions can be easily removed; for the back the original cabinet with the vintage lamp is also available upon request. We sleep 3 kids in the back, and us (and a baby) comfortably in the front. The inside mattresses in the front sofa have been replaced resulting in a firm and level bed space.

Besides these updates, the trailer is maintained in its original appearance!

The outside understates since the clear coat is coming off as is usual for this age. We leave polishing up to you if you want. The seams have been resealed where necessary. There is a long scratch on the roadside exterior with a 10x3in section covered with a panel from the previous owner. Depending on the lighting, this is almost invisible. Three minor bumps on the passenger side rear corner.
The awning is in perfect working condition without being brightened by the sun.

Other recent repairs and updates: new 10-ply trailer tires on the rear axle (2015), new 800lb Eaz-lift equalizer bars (2015), new Thetford Bravura toilet including pedestal (2014), new caps for the Fantastic fans (2014).

We are selling our trailer since we can't take it back with us to Europe. The necessary conversion to hydraulic brakes is cost-prohibitive. We started our travels in April in California with the intention to go for 2-3 months - if the trailer wouldn't have hold up that good, we wouldn't have gone for an epic 9 month road trip through the entire Western U.S.! This could be the trailer to fulfill your dreams!

The towing vehicle, a Ford Expedition XLT 2007 with 4WD(!) is available to be sold as a package. 160000miles. Kelly Blue Book price is 6000$. Pictures for the Ford Expedition can be found here:

Both trailer and car currently have California license plates.

Priced to sell fast. Serious inquiries only please. If you just want to see how an Airstream looks like, refer to a dealer.
