Title: 1979 Airstream Tradewind 25 - South Carolina
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
She's a beauty, great skin and bones, and would make a fun project to bring back. 25' so it's much lighter and easy to tow than the larger Airstreams of the same vintage, yet still has ample space inside.
The windows all work and are in tact; awning is too; as are all the shelves, doors and drawers.
My uncle used it when his was kid (now adult) was little, and we set out in January to restore. I never used it, but I pulled the carpet out and removed the forward bed/couch to remove floor rot under it which is typical for Airstreams. I saved everything I've removed, the folding bed frame works great but I threw the mattress away and it will need new plywood.
Not sure about the electrical, fridge, a/c, lights, but I imagine the mice have had their way with wires. My uncle says it all used to work.
My next step was to remove the belly pans and check it all out from underneath, but I'm moving to FL for a job and can't take it with us.
If you are the one to receive the baton, I love this thing and want to make sure she goes to someone who will take good care of her.
I have the title and it's good.
