1979 Airstream Sovereign 31 - New Mexico

Title: 1979 Airstream Sovereign 31 - New Mexico
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Hi there!
We're looking to sell our 1979 Airstream Land Yacht Sovereign, center bath model. We had originally purchased this to live in as an off-grid tiny home and cross country travel trailer, but our circumstances changed due to work unfortunately taking us elsewhere. This is an amazing airstream in impeccable condition- we fell in love with it when we first saw it, and are excited to pass it along to its next owners as a blank canvas. All the hard, gruesome work has been done so that all there is left to do is design a layout and take this airstream for a trip.

For the most part, when we had bought the airstream it was in great condition from being kept in dry storage and just needed some top to bottom TLC as is the case with any older trailers. Luckily there wasn't any rear end separation and the frame was in perfect condition. We did clean up the frame in a few places where surface rust had collected from rain most likely- we scrubbed that off, reinforced it with some rustoleum. We moved on to securing and patching the belly pan. Then replaced insulation from floor to ceiling. We replaced all three vents with magic fans, one being an automatic sensored fan. We tinted windows with pro non-reflective 15% VLT (uva and uvb blocking) film to add to the energy efficiency of the trailer. We also put new gaskets on all windows and the door. The airstream is completely leak proof and seal tight. We then painted the inside with a primer and Dunn Edwards' version of Sherwin Williams moderate white for a warmer, opening, fresh look. We installed a custom brushed aluminum end cap in front of the trailer. Electrical wiring is in great working condition and ready to be hooked up to lights. The airstream is completely tow ready, brake and turn lights in reliable working condition. We're also selling with this, a roll of aluminum worth $200+, the original working airstream range and miscellaneous rivets/extra airstream parts/etc.

We have invested a ton of hours in this trailer and only hope to pass it on to someone ready to appreciate it and take it on all the trips we had hoped to! That being said, we know this trailer up and down and would love to answer any questions you maybe have about it! Thanks for your time!
