Here’s the story. We purchased this AS in 2007, and used it fairly regularly for 3 years, including two summer vacations from Florida to Vermont. She tows like a dream. It was always our intention to renovate the AS as a retirement project. In 2011,a career move took us to Seattle for 3 years. We purchased a 28ft 2005 Airstream International CCD that we took to Washington State and lived full time for those 3 years. Upon our return home we retired, sold the 2005 AS , our Florida home where the 1977 AS was housed and the renovation work was to be completed
We switched life tracks and bought a 2018 TIFFIN class A motor home.
So... we towed the 1977 up to Tim’s Airstream polishing in Georgia, where she spent 5 weeks ! Amazing results and top notch work. We then towed the unit to Apex , NC where she has spent the summer in covered storage, while we went to Vermont. We are currently back to NC to sell the Airstream, prior to returning to Florida for the winter.
Please contact me with any additional questions.
