Title: 1977 Airstream Argosy 28 28 - Arizona
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Purchased this 1977, 28’ Airstream Argosy in Michigan late 2016. Drove thru Missouri with a final destination of Los Angeles, CA. NO ISSUES! Have a few thousand dollars mechanical work invested (I have receipts) in making him run better and pass the CA emissions test. Current registration in CA but not on the road. Drove him out here late 2017 with NO ISSUES whatsoever. Missing front drivers window (fitted Plexiglas currently serves the purpose). All other windows remain intact including both front windshields. One side window needs felt. The awnings (side and back window) are in great shape, no visible holes or tearing. Original items (based on color) include, on counter mixer, Argosy manual, shades and curtains. I have never used any of the systems in the Airstream and cannot attest to their serviceability. Although, the former owners said they had used all the systems before my purchase. The generator Starts up just fine. He has the wonderful upper windows new starter installed and my mechanic says it runs really niiiiiice. The interior needs love but isn’t awful. The vinyl wallpaper is coming down in places, relenting from the Tucson heat.
Per the previous owners:
“New radiator, shocks, fuel pump, brakes, brake hoses, Hydro-boost master cylinder. It has 1 AC roof unit that works, water heater works well, never used the furnace but the fan runs. Water system works, back shower is pinched off due to split in the copper line.”
AC does not currently turn on.
I have good CA title in hand. Would like him to go to an Airstream appreciated home. Thanks
