1976 Airstream Caravanner
25’ from hitch to bumper. Double Axel.
This is a 1976 Airstream Caravanner ready to camp & tow. It’s a very rare model that was only made for a few years. It is nicknamed the “party model” or “party wagon”. This open floor plan creates a great place for entertaining and ease of living in a trailer. It’s the perfect layout with 2 sofa beds, ample kitchen space with large pantry, huge bathroom, his and hers closets, and lots of windows including the clearstory “Vista View” windows across the top for tons of natural light even when you want the windows closed for privacy.
There is also a grey and black striped ZipDee awning for lounging outside in the shade as well as a small awning on the streetside. This trailer has tons of storage and will be a favorite at Airstream rallies, campgrounds and festivals.
There are very few small dents and dings, but overall the exterior is straight and in great shape. With a polish, it would be stunning!
The Bad:
• There is a plumbing repair behind the toilet. It works fine with the water pump, but would need to be properly repaired before hooking up to city water pressure.
• The Vista View windows are somewhat cloudy. (This is a common problem for all Vista View windows as they are double pane and the film between the pane fails. Most owners just break out the inner glass.)
The Good: This trailer is in good, mostly original condition, but with many updates including:
• Newer Grey and black fabric on ZipDee Awnings
• Newer Large Dometic Refrigerator that works on electric or propane
• Newer Atwood LP Gas Range / Cooktop with stainless steel front
• Newer Magic Chef Microwave
• Newer Atwood Water Heater with electronic ignition
• Newer Striped upholstery on sofas
• TV Mount
