This Airstream is in the middle of being restored (shell off restoration). the hard part is done! All you have to do is fill it with your dream interior. here is what is complete to date:
complete disassembly, shell was lifted from frame which was in good condition, frame was reinforced by professional welder and sprayed with 3 coats of POR15, new plywood subfloor was installed and painted with 4 coats of a high quality outdoor primer, shell was reinstalled with all new hardware, all bottom skins and banana wraps replaced with new parts, interior walls removed and insulation replaced with new Prodex (in progress). brand new 10 gallon Atwood gas/electric water heater installed, refer painted white inside, stove, refer, furnace, A.C., and electricAl systems were tested and work great.
we are currently completing the replacement of the insulation and interior walls, and all that is left is to install your dream interior and you will have a perfect airstream that is like new in every way. other than the appliances, we keep very little of the old interior because we had no room for it.
