I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This airstream has already had some labor of love invested in it, and needs a competent airstream renovator to put it back together. I spent this last winter gutting it and I didn’t get the project completed by my deadline of this spring. I am moving for my job and can’t take it along. We have gutted it down to the frame and prepped the steel for painting. We have done the following renovations: gutted it to the frame, welded new tank frames and weak spots in the frame, resealed around all air vents and leak points on the roof, replaced air vent gaskets, cleaned and replaced all (6) long oval windows, sealed around all window frames and leak points on the outside (minus some unwanted openings patched), resealed a few windows, all windows are in tact, except one double framed window is cracked in one pane, hand made a window resealer frame to make resealing windows easy, comes with original owners manual and random tub of airstream renovation tools and goops.
The photos of the inside with walls and wiring removed and the frame exposed is its current state.
Buyer has to move it. We have it prepped to be moved, the tires are fair, we drove it down a dirt last fall, and we just moved it across town yesterday. I am sad to let this dream go, but I plan on buying a van instead, a little easier to deal with for my nomadic lifestyle.
