Title: 1972 Airstream
Sovereign 31 - California
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
We are selling our just remodeled 1972 Vintage 31'
Sovereign Airstream. This project of love and dreams has an all new updated interior, outside polishing, axels, subframe and on and on and on....here is the overall description. We are selling due to a sudden medical issue and we sadly can't go on our "Get Lost in America and Flyfish" road trip. Looking for a good home. Thank you.
This 1972
Sovereign 31' leaves little to argue about
Primary goal: To create a high-end, luxury camping for vacationing
Double duty: As a guesthouse for friends and family
Design concepts: Clean lines, streamlined, modern-industrial, maximum comfort
Local anecdote: The owner returns to his Santa Barbara roots, where he was a student, surfer and resident.
Airstream name's origin:
The owners of this 1972 Sovereign 31' probably won't get an argument from three-year-old Mateo -- because Linda Listen is one sweet Airstream. You don't know Mateo of Linda Listen fame? Seven million Internet hits later, Mateo and his video-taping mom Linda Beltran, were a YouTube video sensation, even capturing the attention of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Turns out the owners of this vintage Airstream renovation, named Linda Listen, are closely-connected to the YouTube star, so they named their Airstream after the viral video clip.
Details:
All 31 feet of this 1972 Airstream classic were designed for maximum comfort to suite the unique needs of the owner. The unit is packed with comfort features that include a multi-zoned heat pump, high-capacity low-profile air conditioners, and tankless water heater.
The kitchen sports a double fridge, three-burner stainless oven/range, and microwave. A 23" undermount stainless steel kitchen sink is combined with a pullout spray faucet, and under-cabinet water filter. A convenient pantry pullout stows plenty of necessities. An adjustable table base allows for a convertible dining table into a twin bed within minutes. Cushions slide into an instant bed, all covered with Sunbrella upholstery.
The bathroom includes a acrylic bathtub with chrome feet, shower arm handle set, and a porcelain toilet with pushbutton flush. Handcrafted cabinets are capped with bamboo countertops.
Bamboo countertops and floors are finished with a natural hand-rubbed stain that offers a soothing contrast to the clean white Swiss coffee walls. Paint grade cabinet boxes and faces, blend with bamboo sliding doors inset with milky white translucent plexiglass. Round brass polished chrome finish locking rosettes are the design and functional standard in most HofArc renovations.
Throughout the coach there are 22 recessed swivel satin nickel lights that provide ample illumination regardless of where you're located. The Hallway lighting is operated by fully-integrated 3-way switches for maximum options. The entire electrical system is fed by solar panels for sustainable off-the-grid energy generation.
The owners can rest easy at night in the bedroom suite with a fully-adjustable, electric remote control memory foam heated bed, with multiple modes for complete comfort. His 'n' hers nightlights on gooseneck arms allow for optimal lighting while in bed. The careful positioning of the bed's head allows the owner to catch the sunrise and sunset from windows on either side.
The techie offerings include an auxiliary audio player with MP3 amplifier, 6-Inch speakers, with MP3/USB and stereo receiver with Bluetooth.
For safety sake a smoke alarm and LP gas detector is installed in all HofArc units. Hidden in the subfloor are discreet fresh, black and gray water tanks.
The solar package includes 2 - unisolar panels, coming down into a morning star MPPT Charge Controller, which charges 2 Deep Cell AGM Batteries that power up the on board Magnum Inverter! The system is controlled with a micro monitor panel, allowing you to adjust the trailer based off of the environment you are putting it through. Outlets, lighting and appliances are managed with a 12-blade fuse
12v electrical distribution block.
Linda Listen was a completely gutted unit, with extra support built into the chassis' structure. The bathroom windows were moved from the bathroom into the dining area for maximum visibility where it matters most.
Outside, there's a brand new awning with Sunbrella fabric, and two exterior speakers for enjoying the evening light. Of course, it wouldn't be an Airstream if the aluminum skin wasn't polished to a mirror silvery shine.
Time to let the wheels hit the pavement and get this beautiful machine back where she belongs. . . on the road of life.
