Title: 1972 Airstream Overlander 27 - Georgia
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This airstream has so much character. We recently updated to a 2010 because we needed more sleeping room. The Overlander, nicknamed AllyStofor (long story), has a gaucho in the front that makes into a queen and another in the mid that makes into a double. I have seen some people add a bunk above the rear bed, but my wife vetoed that idea. The furnace, water heater, a/c, fridge, cooktop, oven, all work well. Admittedly, the furnace sounds like a dinosaur, so we only use it on really cold nights when we are boon docking. Otherwise, a space heater is sufficient to complement the brand new heat pump.
It has a couple year old dometic fridge with freezer (i think it's about 7 cu ft), a brand new dometic penguin 2 13500 btu a/c and heat pump. We also recently replaced the kitchen faucet and the shower head. It has the original oven, 4 burner cooktop. 2 years ago, I replaced the power converter and last year I bought a new deep cycle 12 volt
battery. I also have a brand new spare tire that is included along with anti-sway, weight distribution, and hitch. Last summer, before our trip to yellowstone, i had it serviced at Chilhowee RV in Knoxville where they installed the new a/c, fixed a few minor annoyances, and serviced the wheel bearings.
We really will miss this camper but are still airstreamers with a flying cloud 30'. Please call, text, or email with questions. I do not need help selling it so please don't offer your expert services. I hold the clear title and can share upon request. It is registered in GA.
That's all I can think of for now. The pictures below do not reflect new items described above.
