The Renovation:
Renovations began in 2017 and was previously referred to as the Groove Tube by it’s past owners. Hey, we all have a past but we don’t judge her for it! The first day was demo and hollowing out the interior walls and floors to get down to the bare bones. Once cleared out, the Groove Tube was ready to head to the custom fabricators who specialize in vintage airstream reconstruction. This was not an at home project done by unknowing parties but left in the hands of professionals who take great pride in restoration and recreation. Each new element was thoughtfully selected for functionality, efficiency, durability, and style. Anyone who has ever looked into remodeling an Airstream knows how much goes into finding and creating the right parts to fit this retro design all the while bringing this Groove Tube into the modern age.
Notable Finishes:
Solar Panels - 10 Brand new panels capable of powering the entire unit silently, without a generator, or having to rely on a power source. The energy collected during daylight hours is used to power a batteries that everything can run off of at night. The Batteries are 4 Marine Grade Batteries (used for boats and off shore vessels)
