1971 Airstream Globetrotter 21 - Minnesota

Title: 1971 Airstream Globetrotter 21 - Minnesota
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

This is a nicely-kept, lovingly-used vintage Airstream that's been in the same family since 1975. The original owner used it infrequently and stored it indoors. The trailer has been well-maintained throughout its life and has been constantly repaired and restored in the correct manner.

The exterior is in very nice original condition. One small dent in panel above rear window on street side. The original factory clear coat is still intact and is polished yearly. The rear bumper assembly remains in good condition with no damage. The holding tank and propane system is in good working condition. The underside skin is clean and remains free of any noticeable damage. The interior has been well-maintained and kept in original appearance. Three burner stove and oven is in good working condition.

Water heater was replaced prior to 2002. Trailer axle was replaced in 2002. A new front window rock guard was installed in 2007. Toilet, flange and dump valve replaced in 2013. New Dometic gas/electric refrigerator installed in 2005. Upholstery and cushions were replaced in 2010 with quality fabric and high density foam. New carpeting installed in 2011. (No soft spots in floor.) New converter installed in 2012. Tail lights replaced in 2012. Bearings last repacked in 2012. New window gaskets and "bug fuzz" installed in 2013. New door gaskets installed at same time. Updated television antenna and coax installed in 2013. Marker lights replaced in 2014. New tires installed in 2014.

This model did not come with a gray water tank, although it's possible to drain gray water into the black water tank or into a "blue boy" in camping sites without full hookups. It also did not come with air conditioning. A catalytic heater was installed and does a great job keeping the trailer warm on cold nights. We use a small electric heater just to take the chill off.
