Title:
1968 Airstream Sovereign 30 - Washington
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This is a vintage
1968 30ft Airstream just waiting for some TLC. We bought it to turn it into a mountain cabin escape, but really don't need so much space and would love something a bit smaller. This is a fabulous project and with a bath and a polish, the exterior will truly shine, and the inside is just about ready for you to rebuild it however you want.
The GOOD:
-It has been mostly gutted except for a sink set into a solid wood counter with a copper backsplash.
-Clear title.
-The running lights work, though the turn signals and brake lights have been disconnected (someone was rewiring the hitch).
-The axels appear to be fine.
The NOT-SO-GOOD:
-Some of the subfloor has started to rot (as will happen over 48 years) and will need to be replaced.
-It has two small dents, though no major exterior damage.
-It has three broken windows.
-It is missing the trailer jack, a replacement one costs about $30. For the moment we have been using a normal car jack to lift it onto the truck.
-Unknown interior electrical.
-Will need new tires and a brake check.
We are asking $3,750 OBO
