1968 Airstream International Sovereign (Great Restoration project).
Trailer has been gutted inside but many original items remain and are in good shape.
All plumbing and electrical remain in tact. Wiring is stubbed out in it's perspective places. Wiring is all copper TW wire.Dometic mdl.#70 works great on electric, have not hooked it up on gas. Original uni-volt works as well. All 120v outlets work. Hot water tank & controls look very good, have not hooked gas line and tried. Suburban heater looks in good shape other than some surface rust on top. Heat exchangers have almost no rust and are still painted black.Have not hooked gas to it. Sub flooring is rotted in several places around inside perimeter.Original kitchen table in fair/restorable condition. Original Motorola am/fm radio works. Original Airstream Control Center complete, needs cleaning up.Armstrong a/c blows cool,not cold on low/high,runs quiet.original shroud has one small hole towards front.All vents work.Has original spare tire rack. Original propane bottles stamped 5/68. Original power jac tongue lift, motor runs but doesn't lift. Four windows have been broken out but track and hardware are fine.All windows operate well.Original pull shades on 3 skylite windows.Underbelly is original and untouched,never removed. Original hubcaps.I towed trailer home 150 miles,wheel bearings never even got warm. Gutted, trailer weighs 3150 lbs. on our County scale. Original water pump/plastic water tank. Gray/Blk water tank rusted out.Roof in great shape.Plumbing vents need replacing as well as fridge vent shroud.Exterior of trailer in pretty good shape, one dent at upper front that looks like would pop out with a vacuum puller.Some dings in lower front of exterior with 2 small holes. Small crease on lower left side in front of wheel.
