1967 Airstream Safari 22 - California
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
1967 Airstream Safari vintage travel trailer. California made. Summer of Love 50th anniversary! 22' single axel Safari model. 1 of only 3 years Airstream offered the Corning frameless curved glass windows. Original kitchen with stove, double sink, and ash wood cabinetry. Full bathroom with tub, shower, toilet, sink, vanity, and closet. Everything else has been gutted for a very spacious feel. The table, chairs, and sofa are there for staging only. Install your vision or easily build it back to original.
Pros:
*Newer modern trailer tires, baby moon hubcaps, and repacked bearings
*New inverter for all
12v lighting. *All 120v outlets in good working order.
Cons:
*Plumbing is untested and no water heater.
*Needs new propane lines, tanks, and regulator for the stove.
*Bathroom floor is a soft and should be repaired. (You can safely walk in, stand in the tub, and sit on the toilet)
*On a compound curve exterior panel in the front there is subtle evidence of previous dent. (Slight wiggle)
*Rear upper curved panel has sealed and riveted patch (10"x10")
*Aluminum belly pan is corroded. The middle section should be cut out and replaced although intact currently for safe travel.
*Clear coat on the exterior aluminum has failed giving it a 'sunburnt' look. Typical tiny filaform surface corrosions. This will polish out if you care to do so.
*Steel frame under the bathroom has suffered a little more than the usual surface rust. One cross member nearest to the bumper should be replaced. The frame here has been wire wheeled and painted with Por-15 rust treatment. The belly pan has been cut away here to address these issues.
*Front window has new tempered glass and will open but needs new opening hardware. Available online.
*All of the other windows open and close but some will need either the glass clips or cranks also available online.
* Kitchen and bathroom cabinets will needs latching hardware also sold @

I've been restoring vintage trailers and specifically vintage airstreams for over 10 years. I'd love to continue to work on this trailer but must let it go to invest in another project. Id consider doing any repairs or modifications the new owner would like or provide guidance on doing the repairs yourself. Delivery considered for a contract price.
