1966 Airstream Safari 22 - Washington

Title: 1966 Airstream Safari 22 - Washington
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

With heavy heart, my husband and I have decided to part with our ’66 21’ Safari. After living in it for a year, we got home with the plan to gut it, fix the leaks and completely rebuild it to suit our needs. We got it mostly gutted, but it’s been sitting in our too-small driveway for almost a year, and we’re facing the reality that we just don’t have the time to give it the attention it deserves. We don’t have the money to pay someone to do it for us.

This trailer is definitely a project. It has numerous leaks, floor rot in a few places, an incomplete rib that was shorn up by a PO with 2x4s, a warped front curved panel, some missing exterior trim, a leaky blackwater tank, a missing rear window, a section of rear panel that was “repaired” with glorified aluminum foil and a frame of unknown status. It has basically no original interior built-ins, as what little was in the trailer when we bought it was damaged by water over the soggy, Seattle winter.

But it has clean title ;)

And new shocks, newer tires, and 2 new white propane tanks!

We have purchased/salvaged quite a few things for the renovation that could be included with the trailer if you’re interested:

Dometic A/C (2 years old);
Intellipower Charge Management System (2 years old);
Thetford Toilet 31668 in cream (2 years old, barely used);
Atwood Furnace 7916-11 (2 years old);
Stainless steel sink;
Dometic 3-way fridge (can’t easily see the model number, 2 years old);
2 burner range in black;
Fantastic Fan with “smoke” cover (new, in box);
2 metal cover vents (new, in box);
Buck rivet kit from VTS (new, in box);
Some butyl tape;
Lots of odds and ends from the dismantling;
Interior skins, labeled for “easy” re-installation (we had planned to replace the skins);
Replacement glass for rear window;
Various reproduction pieces for window operation;
Screens for most windows;
Good mojo from a year of happy travelling :)

If you’re feeling ambitious, please consider giving the Space Twinkie a good home. I'm happy to send more pictures or answer any questions with painful honesty.

Please make a reasonable offer for either the trailer alone or the whole package.
