1966 Airstream Safari 22 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This 66 Safari has undergone an extensive renovation under the direction of the owner/seller, a luxury homebuilder and their discerning interior designer. Originally purchased in late 2014 from a famous author in Minnesota, it was renovated in 2015. Previous owner had it stored in a barn and was completely original and in fair condition. The original range and fridge were repaired. Fridge works on both LP and Electric. Low profile AC added. Toe Kick heater added under kitchen cabinets. Microwave added. All original floorpan layout with two beds that fold down into beds to sleep four. Custom covered couches/beds, designer pillows. All original cabinets, bulkheads, etc skinned in bamboo plywood. Belly dropped and under floor sprayed with foam insulation. Floor is new marmoleum. Existing tub/shower was able to be saved and functions very well with new faucets. New formica vanity top added with new sink and faucets with stainless edging. Kitchen top replaced with new formica, stainless edging and new sink and faucet installed. New custom curtains installed. All window and door weatherstripping replaced. All lighting works. New polished LP tanks. New Nature's Head composting toilet. New gas piping. New water supply piping. New Girard tankless water heater, works perfect. Outdoor shower. Yacht style electrical supply plug. Spare tire/receiver added to the steel bumper where it is now possible to remove spare and place receiver type bike rack or storage rack. Professional polish. New old school retro canopy. Many more small details. Appraisal recently completed. This is a one of a kind piece of Americana.
