1966 Airstream Safari 22 - Colorado

Title: 1966 Airstream Safari 22 - Colorado
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Own the best of both worlds: a mirror shiny, head-turning mid-century Airstream that has been lovingly restored and updated. It is complete right down to the pots and pans. Just load the groceries and start your adventure the day you take possession. If you were to do these improvements yourself it would take years. And you would almost certainly spend much more than the asking price.

New cushions, refrigerator, gas stove top and microwave. Kurig coffee maker. New, retro kitchen countertops. Denim curtains. All windows work properly and have screens. New Fantastic ceiling fans installed forward and aft. Side-mounted, hidden combination air conditioner/electric heater. (No big lump on the roof.) Propane space heater for those chilly nights and mornings. Sturdy, easy to care for TrafficMASTER Allure flooring throughout.

New, lightweight toilet. Stylish retro bathroom sink and vanity. Built-in hair drier and medicine cabinet. Electric baseboard heater in the bathroom with controls at bedside. Warm up the bathroom before leaving your bed! Updated shower, bathtub and LED lighting.

Wall-mounted Toshiba LCD television/DVD player. Dish Network receiver with DVR and Tailgater (automatic satellite-seeking antenna). Put the Tailgater outside and be watching and recording TV in minutes. No manual dish aiming required. Or, if you prefer, connect the TV to campground cable systems. An amplified, rooftop, rotating "over-the-air" digital TV antenna is provided as well.

Completely upgraded AC/DC electrical system. The WFCO converter/charger has add-on digital instrumentation not provided by the factory -- AC voltage, current and frequency; DC voltage and current. A rear solar panel keeps the batteries charged when you store or use the trailer off the grid. LED cove and task lighting reduces the electrical load and extends your off-grid capabilities.

All new Pex fresh water plumbing throughout. All new waste water plumbing as well. New lightweight black waste tank. New DC water pump. On-demand propane Domestic Hot Water Heater. Digital level monitor for black and fresh water tanks.

There's an AM/FM and Digital radio with CD drive and USB input, four speakers plus a subwoofer. The television also plays through this audio system. Additional audio inputs are available for your tablet, phone and/or computers. A Wilson cell phone booster and external antenna will help keep you connected. Two handi-talkies and a built-in charger keep you in touch with your rally buddies.

New tires. The axle is less than ten years old. Electric-over-hydraulic brakes have been installed along with a contemporary 7-pole blade connector.

The subfloor is sound and rot-free. There are no water leaks. The trailer was professionally polished in April, 2015. There are the minor dings and dents and scratches you would expect from a nearly 50-year-old travel trailer, but as you can see from the photos it is beautiful, rare and remarkable. Be prepared to get thumbs up and meet admirers and Airstream enthusiasts everywhere you go.

Make an appointment to see the trailer itself in Durango, Colorado.

Scoop up this collectible up before someone else does. It's one of a kind.
