Completely renovated-1966 Safari AIRSTREAM 22’
This
1966 Safari 22’ AIRSTREAM was stripped down to the shell. Then rebuilt 100% which means it has all new wiring, plumbing, insulation, A/C, elec. jack post, window gaskets, LED lighting and much much more.
Sleeps two on a combo, split couch that converts into a twin bed
Uses propane (tanks on front) to heat water and for cooking. Also uses either electric or gas for heating
SPECS:
(4) ten gal. poly tanks under the floor for fresh water
ten gal. poly tank under the floor for grey water
The front solar panel which is attached to the awning window charges (2) 110 amp AGM batteries which powers everything except the air conditioning. The A/C is powered either from shore power (plugged into a 115v outlet) or it runs on two small, lightweight Yamaha generators each being a 2000 watt unit included.
This
1966 Safari was 100% completely re-done. Being stripped down to only the aluminum shell it has new wiring, new plumbing new insulation in the form of two layers. First a flexible 1/4” layer was glued to the inner shell then a 1” thick layer of rigid closed foam cell was installed. It is better insulated than the new Airstreams.
All outside and inside lighting is LED type. Flooring is bamboo on top of 5/8” marine plywood. The new roof mounted A/C is a 13,500 BTU two stage unit. Inside there is small bathroom with a sink, medicine cabinet and a chemical toilet that uses water and odor tabs. It does NOT smell and functions as a home toilet does however it has two indicators that let you know when it is full and when water needs to be added. There is a small stall shower room as well. The pantry is located between the shower and bathroom and has four large compartments. The REF. is a
12v under counter unit. The cooktop is a two burner gas unit. All furniture shown is included. There are several personal items which will be removed such a picture and a decorative item. All dishware, pots, pans and silverware are included.

A 26 gal water tank on wheels as extra water if “boon docking” is done. This way you have a total of approx. (64) gals. of fresh water for showers, dishes etc.

On the rear of the trailer there is a small camera that connects to the tow vehicle. All camera components and the elec. brake unit come with it.
