1964 Airstream Overlander 26 - Montana

Title: 1964 Airstream Overlander 26 - Montana
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Sadly parting with our 1964 Overlander. Spent countless hours renovating it into a tiny home on wheels. The shell is in good condition, just needs to be buffed and polished. The bearings have been repacked, and she has new tires, so she's ready to be on the road. We stripped her down to the outer shell and removed the old rotted floor. Had the frame inspected and welded in a few small areas, but there was no severe structural damage. She has new electrical, insulation in the floor (batting) and walls (rigid foam). We replaced the subfloor and added a cork floor. None of the original furnishings were in it when we purchased it, so we constructed all new built ins ourselves. It was originally intended to be an off grid tiny house. All that is required now is solar panels and you will require no hook-ups. There is space for a composting toilet in the back bathroom, and a pump sink in the kitchen. The heater is RV safe and works really, really well. We have lived in this Airstream for over 2 years, through Montana winters and it's actually really cozy (sorry no AC for the summers).
A few things that are still in need of being done:
-some windows need replacing, and some of the cranks no longer work
-we have 2 new Fantastic fan vents that just need to be installed, wiring is ready (the photographs show that the current ones are in rough shape and leak)
-there is a temporary cover on the sky light in the front, you can decide weather to seal it or find a cover for it
-there is an awkward shelf in the front, we couldn't figure out quite what to do with it
-the door is the biggest source of heat loss, she needs some TLC and some bending to fit better in the door frame
-finishing touches - some light fixtures, trim around the floor, personal touches from you!

This is an alternative home for someone who is tired of paying high prices for rent. Perfect for a single occupant or couple. She's not perfect, but we put our heart and souls into this project and we'd like to see the Airstream go to someone who appreciates it! Contact me for more photos, i took a ton!
