1963 Airstream Tradewind 24 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
1964 Airstream Tradewind completely restored. Frame off restoration. Frame cleaned and painted with primer and Por15 paint. New 5200 lb axle from Colin Hyde. Carlisle tires are 5 years old, but only 1000 miles on them. Wheels, including spare were powder coated black, and original chrome baby moon hubcaps. New plywood subfloor. New wiring on all systems. New insulation. Interior skins repainted with Zolatone Polomyx. Custom maple woodwork, and cabinets. Appliances are all about 5 years old, but only used a few times, and are like new, and work well, including Duotherm heat pump air conditioner with thermostat. Propane furnace. Electronic ignition water heater. Dometic refrigerator. Atwood stove and oven. Fantastic fan with rain sensor, new pex water system with brass fittings. 35 gallon fresh water tank, 35 gallon gray water tank, and original 16 gallon black water tank. All tanks are monitored. Exterior was professionally polished, and looks great. There is minor pitting on the aluminum, and several dings, but not easily noticed. Windows have new seals, and new screens. New exterior lights. Most of the interior light bulbs have been replaced with led lights using the original fixtures. Several modern lights were added. Laminate flooring has several scratches, but looks good. Front dinette has yacht style hydraulic base which lowers and lifts easily. New custom curtains, and upholstery. This Airstream weighs 4200 pounds empty, with about 480 pound tongue weight.
