Title:
1961 Airstream Safari 22 - Texas
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
SALE PENDING UPON INSPECTION...
The response has been incredible and helpful on this website. The process pretty streamlined.
Also, this website has a wealth of information to refer to before posting if you're unfamiliar with Airstream travel trailers like I am. I learned a lot in short order.
Our family is very grateful for this site and those who manage it. If the sale does not go through, I'll gladly repost here.
WE HAVE NEW TEXAS LICENSE PLATE/TAG! NEW TITLE BEING PROCESSED AND WILL BE MAILED IN A FEW DAYS. Tires have good tread, but most guys would recommend new tires for long distance towing.
Edited original posting after inspecting and photographing trailer. Needs a lot of clean up work inside and out, but not as poor condition as first reported so changed condition to fair. Did not test appliances or working conditions.
It is a
1961 22 ft. I believe TS is for Twin Safari floor plan. Original?: woodwork, Refrigerator, stove, heater, bathroom underbody cover. Roof skylight cracked so trailer remains covered with tarps to keep interior dry. Buyer responsible for pick up after payment clears and if desired visual inspection by appointment only.
Our Uncle Alfred and Aunt Laura brought it with them from California in the mid 1980's to stay with our Mom in Houston, TX who had surgery. Mom bought it from them and it sat in her driveway for decades. Mom had the Texas title put in her name and my name (Kim) at the time. Mom passed, title lost, and another title is being applied for.
