1951 Flying Cloud, fully refurbished chassis and shell ready for interior
This couldn't be a cooler trailer, and is VERY RARE. I started restoring this 1951 Airstream Flying Cloud a few years ago for me personally, and have gotten it to this point. I ended up buying another trailer that I really enjoy, and recently purchased an old tour bus that actually works perfectly for what I need. Selling this to someone who is looking for a great project, she is all there and ready for a new interior. All of the heavy work is done, the fun stuff is what is left. Frame was completely removed and a new one built to improve the handling, we removed the trailer from the frame and built a new ladder-style frame for it then added the tips of the tube chassis back on for aesthetics (so it would look original). All of the interior panels were removed, everything was re-insulated and wired then the interior panels were re-installed. New tires, wheels, caps. Installed tiger wood floors throughout the interior, and stripped the inside of the end caps to polish them. Currently the remainder of the interior is a sea foam color that I love that we were going to run with.
This trailer is VERY rare, and very few of these were made. This one has the 13-panel front with the Clipper rear-end, it is hands down the coolest Airstream I have ever seen. If you are looking for a very unique trailer build, this is the one that you want. I have never seen another one of these like mine for sale.
I will install and include an a/c with heat pump if it is requested. The windows are all pop-out glass, there is only one missing on the side (you can find them online, I just haven't taken the time to do it).
