1950 Airstream Liner 22 - Idaho
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This rare old girl has been freshly restored and ready to go on some new adventures!#1469. We have owned this trailer 15 years and and have done the restoration now are ready to have it enjoyed by a new owner.
Not original features-- 30 gal. freshwater tank and pump and
12v lights. an outdoor "scare light" has been added.
WORK done--
interior removed -
under frame cleaned, painted, reinforced.
subfloor replaced--3/4"7ply marine plywood with edges painted with fiberglass resin.
Original Coleman Stove- taken apart and powder coated.
Original Marvel Fridge-Ice/elect. taken apart and powder coated.
repair to curbside- panel replaced, interior wheel cover remade and replaced.
New black and white sheet linoleum floor covering.
bed base remade with lighter framing. Large drawer under bed rebuilt. Storage areas rebuilt under bed.
gaucho on street side-rebuilt and reupholstered-in Route 66 fabric and red leatherette.
all cupboards and doors taken apart and re glued and refinished.
New formica countertop with original Kitchen sink.
Metal folding table--deep red.
Day/night round tower propane heater- new to this trailer but refurbished and fits the 50's time.Removed the original Byam Burner
2 closets--doors open and provide separate bedroom/toilet area.
Entry step reinforced and repaired.
Entry door taken apart and repaired.
All windows removed, cleaned and polished . Replaced new seals and polycarbonate windows.
Front propane bottle holder repaired and painted.
Some polishing done on body
New axle.
New tires.
All 3 vents were removed and polished and new screens put in-- all open. all handles there.
