What is running under the bed.

Can anyone tell me what runs. It is like a humming, fast fan, right by the fuse box. It is not the inverter, that is on the other side of bed.

There is also a fan in your convertor (battery charger) that can be fairly loud when you are running 12 volt stuff and charging batteries at a high rate.

They also have been known to partially fail with the fan on constantly...the internal circuit that controls the fan speed vs. convertor internal temperature can screw up.

The stock 12 volt electrical system installed by Airstream kills the trailer's batteries. Lots of us upgrade to a better multistage power unit like the Pacific Dynamics PD4655, but even then the fans can start buzzing. This is the exact reason we didn't go with the 25 Q - I read someone post that his wife couldn't sleep when the fan was buzzing. He said is he knew, he wouldn't have bought it or at least bought a different model.
